KW Clubsport 2-way suspension w/ top mounts - Porsche 968, 1992-1995
KW Suspension systems are a first choice for Porsche enthusiasts worldwide, for street, track day and motorsport applications. Fully designed and manufactured in Fichtenberg, Germany and proven on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, each KW coil over kit is subject to rigorous testing to ensure proper performance and function. KW's Clubsport suspension kits feature stainless-steel INOX shock bodies, fully threaded with continuously adjustable ride-height, along with adjustable dampers and spring rates matched to the exact application. KW Clubsport kits offer an aggressive ride and handling dynamic ideal for dedicated dual-purpose street and track cars. While suitable for street use, Clubsport kits feature higher spring and damper rates than the normal KW range and have what most would consider to be a fairly firm and harsh ride over broken pavement, although they are perfectly suited to aggressive street use. The trade off is outstanding on-track performance, handling and balance for enthusiastic drivers. KW Clubsport suspension kits offer performance and technology directly descended from their motorsport programs in IMSA, Pirelli World Challenge, FIA GT, VLN and other GT championships around the world.

KW Clubsport kits feature a 2-way, 16-click rebound adjustable / 12-click bump adjustable damper. Adjustments are made with a supplied removable adjustment knob from the top of the damper for rebound, and at the bottom of the damper for bump via an integrated knob, wherever possible. Raising the rebound damping rate will reduce the body motion of the vehicle and help to provide control and stability through corners and over the road, as well as allowing for minor changes to the overall handling balance. This is especially helpful for tuning to a specific wheel and tire package, allowing you to compensate for weight, tire pressure and traction differences. It also allows you to further fine tune the response and handling balance along with changes to sway bar settings and chassis set up, etc.
Raising or adjusting the low-speed bump rate allows you to manually effect body roll independently of other factors such as sway bar or spring rates. Typically, adjustment of the low-speed bump will not adversely effect ride quality as sharp jolts such as pot holes, frost heaves and expansion joints are handled by the damper's high-speed damping rates, which remain unaffected.
In short, raising the rebound rate will increase the firmness of the ride and reduce ride quality, with sharper handling and control. Lowering the rebound rate will provide a more comfortable, compliant ride at the expense of handling. Raising the low-speed bump rate will reduce body roll (such as cornering, braking and acceleration), while lowering it will allow for an increase in both body roll and weight transfer.
KW's INOX-line stainless steel bodies are extremely durable in all conditions, and offer unmatched corrosion protection with a trapezoidal design and composite adjustment collars, ensuring years of trouble-free service and adjustment. Additional parts include either composite or aluminum upper spring hat for corrosion resistance and quiet operation, a polyamide intermediate ring (spring separator) again for quiet operation and proper spring locating, a high-quality bump stop with integrated dust cover, and premium chrome-silicone linear or progressive rate spring depending on application.
